God Speaks Through His Son

Hebrews chapter 1 emphasizes that God has always been a communicative God who desires to speak to His people. While He spoke to the Old Testament fathers through prophets, in these last days God speaks to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. The primary way we hear God's voice today is through His Word, which reveals Jesus to us. The sermon challenges the common mistake of reading the Bible as a story about ourselves, when it has always been about Jesus. Christ is the radiance of God's glory, the exact imprint of His nature, and the one through whom all things were created. Any understanding of Scripture, Christian living, or hearing from God must center on Jesus Christ. If Jesus is not the focus of our Bible reading, theology, or spiritual conversations, we are missing the point entirely. The transformational goal of the Christian life is to be conformed to the image of Christ, which requires keeping our eyes fixed on Him through the Word.
