What Biblical Faith Actually Looks Like

What does it really mean to live by faith? In Hebrews 11:32–40 and 12:1–2, we see that faith isn’t about getting the outcome we want—it’s about trusting God no matter the outcome. Whether God brings deliverance or calls us to endure, biblical faith rests in the confidence that He is faithful and at work.

These passages remind us of those who experienced great victories through faith, and others who suffered, were persecuted, and did not receive what was promised in this life—yet all were commended for their faith. And as we move into Hebrews 12:1–2, we are called to run the race set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith.
